Youth Activities

The mission of the Christian Education program at Parma-South is to generate an atmosphere where youth are transforming into Christ disciples.

Parma-South Sunday School

JR-SR High Sunday School is currently for grades 6th-12th grade. This class is led by Gina Diedrich, Tom Kidd and Pam Nash. We meet from 10:00 to 11:00 Sunday mornings in Room 207.  On the first Sunday of every month we attend the church service with the rest of our congregation. Lessons for this age group cover more current day topics and how the students can use the Bible to help them in their everyday life. We are currently growing in our faith by using the PCUSA Curriculum: Faith Questions. Faith Questions studies are based on faith questions asked by youth. Each session encourages young people to look to Scripture, as well as our faith tradition, in relevant and responsive ways. Movie, music, media, and other technologies are used during these classes.

New Wilmington Mission Conference which takes place usually the third week in July on the campus of Westminster College in New Wilmington, PA. NWMC is dedicated to helping believers discern their call to be a "missionary," whether in their homes, schools, and jobs, in the local church, or in faraway countries. As a result NWMC provides programming for all ages, infants through adults. Families, youth groups, mission-minded individuals, pastors, lay people and missionaries all have a place at the New Wilmington Mission Conference. Fundraising opportunities are available for our youth in order to attend the conference.
