Presbyterian Women take a biblical approach in seeking to minister to the needs and issues of women today. Through small groups, retreats, workshops and various events throughout the year, women are afforded many opportunities for spiritual growth and supportive fellowship.  We are part of the Presbyterian Women and The Presbytery of the Western Reserve.  Parma-South circles meet from September thru June.  Our Circles are as follows:

Deborah Circle meets in the church Parlor at 10:30 am on the 2nd Monday of the month. The members bring a sandwich.  Coffee and dessert are provided.

Ruth-Naomi Circle meets in the church Parlor at 10:00 am on the 2nd Tuesday of the month. Coffee and dessert are provided.

We always invite any women who would like to join one of the circles above.  Please feel free to come to one of the circles at the above mentioned times.

Honorary Life Memberships – Celebration of Gifts of Women

Each year, the Presbyterian Women of Parma-South present Honorary Life Memberships to one or two women at Parma-South, in recognition of their faithful service to the church.  In 2017, on Sunday, March 26, Honorary Life Memberships were presented to Roseanne Best and Fran Marvel (pictured below.) Each woman received a pin and a certificate.  Since 1959, eighty Honorary Life Memberships have been given to women of Parma-South. We hope to continue recognizing the abilities and abundant talents of the women in our church in future years.

An ecumenical movement that brings Protestant, Roman Catholic, Orthodox and other Christian women into one community of prayer, advocacy and service.

 - United by a common faith

 -  Committed to the empowerment of women

OUR GOAL:  A deeper understanding of what it means to be a Christian woman.
To work for a just and caring peaceful society, and to use responsibly and creatively the resources God has given us.

There are many state and local units in the country.
There are nine districts in our Greater Cleveland area – Parma-Southwest is one of these.  We will be changing the name to Southwest District as there are other churches and areas involved.  Each district has a representative from their church which meets quarterly with the other women in that district at a church of our choosing.Fran Mavel is currently the representative of Parma-South serving her fourth year. Our Executive Board is chaired by Bennie J. Williams-Roper.
