SUMMER CAMP:

The Highlands Camp may be gone, but did you know there's still a Presbyterian summer camp in Northeast Ohio? Joseph Badger Meadows, Eastminster Presbytery's camp in Trumbull County, welcomes all God's children as campers. It offers a variety of camping experiences to kids from kindergarten through high school. See Pam Nash for a brochure, or visit www.faithfulness.com/jbmccc

KIDS GET READY!

We're getting ready to head to Egypt this year! We begin on Monday, August 2 and continue to Friday, August 6, each night from 5:30 - 8:30pm. Come experience Josephs journey from prison to a beautiful palace. You'll see some awesome sights and play some fun games and visit with Joseph through the week. Be sure to register at church or online at www.groupvbspro.com/vbs/hl/parmasouthpres or please contact Pam Nash for more information.

SUMMER SUNDAY SCHOOL:

Children ages pre-school through grade 5 (having just finished the 5th grade) are welcome to join us in our Summer Sunday School program. We will meet following the Children's Chat upstairs. Parents can pick up their children in the Education Wing at 11:45 am.

SAVE THE DATE!

August 8th from 11am - 1:30pm Janet Wilson, our Parish Nurse has a panel of people who will give insights on "Preparing Your Nest Egg at Any Age". Come to learn about various aspects of financial planning, estate planning and more. Join us for a light lunch. Take away additional knowledge and tips on preparing for getting a little older.

Special Notes

Thank You! A sincere Thank You to my Parma-South Family for the prayers, cards, visits and flowers while I was in the hospital for an extended period of time. ~Ralph Stucky

Want E-Tidings? Did you know that our monthly Tidings newsletter is available online at our website (www.parma-south.org)? If you would be interested in opting out of receiving your paper copy, it will save a few trees, and would save the church some money. Please call Jan at the church office, or send an email to pstidings @ hotmail.com if you would be willing to read your Tidings online, or would like it emailed to you each month, instead of receiving a paper copy in the mail.

!TIDINGS CHANGES! In an effort to make the creation of TIDINGS more efficient, Rev. Juengel is implementing a new procedure. Articles for TIDINGS will no longer be submitted directly to Lisa, our church secretary. Instead, articles should be placed in the TIDINGS mailbox in the workroom (bottom row, near the middle), or emailed directly to the editors, at: pstidings@hotmail.com.

COME AND SEE WHAT'S ON DISPLAY! Parma Heights Public Library has graciously allowed us to display some memorabilia in celebrating our 175th Anniversary. You may find some familiar wedding pictures included. The showcase is near the front entrance of Parma Heights Public Library across the street and will be available for viewing from June through July.

Thank you Dinner Group! This past Tuesday evening, Parma-South hosted the annual Presbytery budget planning meeting. Not only was our facility ideal for hosting the 22 Presbytery members for this meeting, but all were treated to a wonderful dinner prepared by the Dinner Group, at a very reasonable cost. After the meeting, the Presbytery members were singing the praises of Parma-South. A special thanks to Mike and Linda Fanous, Verna Buchholz, Jean Cubbison, Bob Cubbison, Sharon Fanous and her God daughter Hanna, fortaking the time tovolunteer their talents.

VBS UPDATE!

VBS UPDATE! VBS Decorating Team started meeting on Tuesday June 29th to begin construction of Egypt. What took the Egyptians centuries to make we are going to make in 5 weeks. No experience necessary, just an eagerness to create a memorable week for the kids. We will meet in the gym on Mondays and Tuesdays at 5:30pm.

NEW WILMINGTON MISSION CONFERENCE:

Please be in prayer for our New Wilmington Mission Conference delegates as they prepare to spend a week of learning, friendships and spiritual growth. Our delegates will depart on July 24th and return on July 31st. Also, please continue in prayer for the adults as they seek to bring about a good experience for the many delegates who will attend.

DID YOU REMEMBER TO GET YOUR VOUCHER THIS SUNDAY?

If not, your Mission Team will be back next week between services at the back of the Fellowship Hall. The voucher and gift card selection is fantastic; and you're helping the church too! Remember, proceeds benefit the Dougbe School Mission Project in Liberia - your support is very important in this endeavor.

A NOTE FROM JANET, YOUR PARISH NURSE:

Hospice is in need of volunteers. Please take a look at the Parish Nurse bulletin board outside the Library to see if you could fit this opportunity in your life.

CHURCH CORN ROAST - FRIDAY, AUGUST 6TH AT 6 PM.

We will meet on the front lawn. The meal will be a hot dog, ear of corn, potato salad and a drink. We'll take a free will offering. We are attempting to get a head count for the corn. If you haven't already done so, please put a "C" by your name on the attendance sheet or call the church office with the number of people to attend. Thanks!

SESSION MEETING:

The next Session meeting will be Wednesday, August 25th due to Rev. Juengel being on study leave the week prior. Please be sure to have any agenda items in to Rev. Juengel by or before August 12th.
