REV. SHERYL SWAN, Parish Associate

Rev. Sheryl Swan has a passion for pastoral care, teaching and preaching.  The scripture passage she holds dear is Matthew 4: 23.  “Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogue, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.”  Her ministry provides opportunities to teach, preach, and provide pastoral care to those who are sick, and to shut-ins of the church. She also volunteers as chaplain at Southwest General Hospital.

She serves on the Committee for Preparation of Ministry in our Presbytery, and enjoys the opportunity to mentor seminary students who are discerning a call to ministry.

Parma South has been her church home from the age of 4, and she is a decedent of the early church founders. Sheryl and her husband Walter Burgdorf were married at Parma South.

Sheryl enjoys traveling, quilting, all kinds of music, and quiet walks on the beach.
